"Choosing the Right Connectivity Technology for Your IoT Application" at the IEEE 5G World Forum
Geoff Mulligan presented the opening keynote, "Choosing the Right Connectivity Technology for Your IoT application", on Day 3 of the IEEE 5G World Forum, held in Santa Clara.
During the talk he covered the problems associated with defining the IoT and the expanse of available communication technologies. Mulligan's talk additionally focused on today's challenges for IoT projects, including interoperable data schemas, siloed applications and, most importantly, data ownership and data privacy. Mulligan closed the talk by discussing his experiences in the Presidential Innovation Fellows program and giving a call to action for those in the audience who would be interested in effecting change in the government to learn more and apply at www.pif.gov.
